The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden recently announced that it will tighten its measures on restricting China’s advanced technology in semiconductors and chipmaking gear. Reports say the Biden administration intends to prevent the East Asian country from developing a technology that could give it an advantage in the military.

According to the Macon Telegraph, the most recent measure intends to settle the loopholes and improve the restrictions that were made for China’s advanced technology last year. This suggests that the Biden administration seeks to control the selling of advanced chipmaking equipment and graphics chips for artificial intelligence to Chinese firms.
