Masked Burglary Suspects Break Into House, Steal Bags In Attempt Of Vehicle Theft In New Jersey

Two masked burglary suspects broke into a house in Verona, New Jersey while its residents were asleep. Authorities believe the suspects stole two bags to look for key fobs of the vehicle that was parked in the house’s driveway.

Verona Police Department states that on October 1, at around 4:30 a.m., two masked burglary suspects broke into a house at Cambridge Road in the township of Verona in Essex County, New Jersey. Further reports say the burglary suspects were wearing hoodies, face masks, and gloves when they broke into the house through an unlocked side door.

According to Trapani, the burglary suspects entered the house twice and stole two bags while the residents of the house were asleep. Verona Police stated that they believe the burglary suspects were looking for the key fobs of the vehicle parked in the house’s driveway as vehicle theft has been the latest crime trend in New Jersey.

Burglary Suspects’ Attempt to Steal Vehicle

Fortunately, an article in News 12 – New Jersey states that the burglary suspects were not able to steal any vehicle. Nonetheless, Verona Police still warned residents about keeping the doors of their houses and vehicles locked.
