The Illinois Lottery website is finally back online after being down for scheduled maintenance. Further reports say the scheduled maintenance was extended to the Illinois Lottery app as well.
On September 7, at around 6:30 a.m., several Illinois Lottery and Powerball players had to wait for the result of the September 6 lottery or if they scored any winnings as the Illinois Lottery website was down for scheduled maintenance.An article in NBC Chicago states that during the scheduled maintenance of the Illinois Lottery website, a notice appeared that reportedly stated: “Thank you for your patience. Our website is currently down for maintenance and will be back up shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back soon.” Further reports say a similar notice also appeared on the app of the Illinois Lottery website.

Illinois Lottery Website is Back
Fortunately, according to an article in Head Topics, the Illinois Lottery website appeared to have recovered at around 8 a.m. of the same day. Thereafter, the results of all Illinois Lottery drawings, including the Powerball, were posted under the “Results” tab of the Illinois Lottery website.
Reports say on September 6, the Powerball numbers were 9, 14, 20, 23, and 63 with a Powerball of 1. The jackpot prize was reportedly worth $461 million but according to the Powerball website, no one unfortunately hit the jackpot which now increased to $500 million prior to the next drawing on September 9.
