James Estep was indicted on 30 felony charges in connection with sexually assaulting victims in Arizona. Reports say the alleged serial rapist was first arrested on suspicion of rape in May 2021.
On August 23, officers from the Tempe Police Department in Arizona arrested James Estep, 32, after being accused of sexually assaulting six victims. Reports say on August 22, the alleged serial rapist committed his most recent crime where he kidnapped and raped a 15-year-old girl.An article in KTAR News states that the serial rapist found the teenage victim at the light rail station along the Main Street and Alma School Road in the city of Mesa. Reportedly, the suspect convinced the victim to accept a ride prior to the incident.
Nonetheless, on August 25, the Attorney’s Office of Maricopa County announced that the serial rapist faced 30 felony charges, with 20 of them in connection with sexual assault. Further reports say the serial rapist was first arrested after being accused of rape back in May 2021. In addition, the suspect was also arrested twice on separate incidents this year.

Serial Rapist’s Multiple Arrests
According to an article in AZ Family, despite the serial rapist’s multiple arrests, the Attorney’s Office dropped his previous charges due to a need for further investigation from the Mesa Police Department. Nonetheless, the Office finally completed the indictment recently as Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell stated that the case had been a high priority for her.
