The Department of Revenue stated that married couples who jointly filed tax returns will be receiving $2,500 worth of 2023 Stimulus Check. Otherwise, these taxpayers would be receiving the amount indicated in line 20 of their income tax returns as part of the surplus budget in the state of Montana.An article in Your Favorites Radio states that earlier this year, a third batch of the stimulus checks were distributed that issued up to $1,400 per individual taxpayer. On the other hand, married couples with two children were eligible for up to $5,600.
Nonetheless, further reports say individual taxpayers who do not earn more than $75,000 of adjusted gross income, heads of households who do not earn more than $112,500, and married couples who do not earn a combined income of more than $150,000 were all eligible for the stimulus checks.

Who qualifies for the 2023 Stimulus Check?
According to an article in 700WLW, to be eligible for the 2023 Stimulus Check, an individual must have been a resident of Montana beginning January 1 for the entire 2021 tax year. In addition, an individual must have also filed a 2021 resident or part-year resident return and income tax return.
An individual must have also filed both 2020 and 2021 tax returns by the due date or extension date of the 2021 tax year. Furthermore, the individual must not have been claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer. Lastly, the amount in line 20 of the individual’s 2021 income tax return must be greater than zero.
