Vermont

Vermont tops the list of the U.S. states with the highest college tuition and fees at an average of $8,660 for a degree of two years. Nonetheless, the cost of college education in Vermont has decreased by 7% in comparison to 2022.

Further reports say despite having the highest college tuition and fees, Vermont is the third most educated state in the U.S. in terms of attaining higher education. 45.9% of teenagers reportedly have a college or associate degree, while 44.4% of individuals aged 25 and above have a bachelor’s degree or higher.

South Dakota

According to Jawad, South Dakota is next on the list of the U.S. states with the highest college tuition and fees at an average of $7,312 for a degree of two years for in-district students. However, despite having one of the highest college tuition and fees, 42.2% of individuals aged between 18 and 24 have a college degree.

Further reports say Mitchell Technical College, Oglala Lakota College, Presentation College, and Western Dakota Technical College are some of the well-known educational institutions that offer college degrees in the state.

New Hampshire

An article in intelligent.com states that after South Dakota, New Hampshire is next on the list of the U.S. states with the highest college tuition and fees at an average of $7,094. Nonetheless, despite having one of the highest college tuition and fees, New Hampshire also has one of the highest rates of attaining college education at 42.7%.
