1. Blackfoot

The first on the spot in one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho is Blackfoot. It is a small town between Pocatello and Idaho Falls. The city’s total population is more than 11,000 with a violent crime rate of 3.24 per 1,000 residents.

2. Chubback

Next in line in one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho is Chubback. It is a town over from Pocatello. Chubback has over 15,000 people. It has a reported crime rating index of 16 which means it is more dangerous than 84% of US cities. Chubback has a property crime rate of 2.46 with a crime grade of C+ or passing.

3. Pocatello

Next is Pocatello. It is a county seat in Bannock County and the largest in Idaho. Pocatello is also one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho with a violent crime rate of 4.24 derived from 233 reported violent crimes. The city has more than 56,000 population and a statewide violent crime rate of 2.4 and a grade B-.

4. Garden City

Garden City is a suburb of Boise in the north with a total population of over 12,000. The city tallied one of the highest violent crime rates in the state with 6.82 and violent crimes and assaults of 96 and a grade B+, no wonder it was included in one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho.

5. Twin Falls

Twin Falls also managed to be one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho as the city that stands alone in the southern part has a violent crime rate of 5.00. It has over 50,000 people and recorded a crime grade of D+, not ideal because it is one of the worst crime grade indexes.

6. Mountain Home

The city of Mountain Home, a small town in southeast Boise has a total population of more than 14,000 with a 2.5 assault rate. Parts of the city have the likelihood of being a crime victim at 1 in 9 chances. Having a D+ crime grade, also prompted it as one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho.

7. Coldwell

Coldwell has been seen as having high rates of motor vehicle theft, with 125 reported cases in 2019. Coldwell has also reported 203 incidents of violent crimes with a crime grade of C+. With more than 57,000 people, it is likely to be one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho.

8. Nampo

Nampo, a city situated in southwestern near the Oregon border with over 98,000 people has the top prevalent crimes of rapes and assaults and was also added as one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho. It has a D+ crime grade with 63 crimes reported per square mile.

9. Boise

Having several universities inciting the increase in alcohol-related crime and sexual crime, Boise was also one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho. The city has a violent crime rate of 18.9 per 1,000 residents but surprisingly has a crime grade B- despite having over 231,000 people. It has reported an annual violent crime incident of 649 with annual rapes of 164.

10. Coeur d’Alene

Lastly, we have Coeur d’Alene as one of the most dangerous cities in Idaho. Coeur d’Alene is considered one of the most popular cities and tourist destinations for nearby Washingtonians. It has more than 52,000 population with 38 rapes reported and 86 aggravated assaults in 2019. With an annual reported violent incident crime of 132, the city has a crime grade of C.
