On August 14, during a sentencing hearing, investigators stated that a witness revealed new details about the murder of U.S. Army soldier Vanessa Guillén by former U.S. Army specialist Aaron David Robinson back in 2020. The witness claimed that the former U.S. Army specialist’s girlfriend, Cecily Aguilar, 25, admitted that Robinson had sexual intercourse with the body of Guillén following the murder.

According to Boyd, the sentencing hearing last Monday was initially scheduled for April. However, the defense attorney of the former U.S. Army specialist’s girlfriend filed a motion to allow psychologist Dr. Jon Matthew Fabian to testify.

Reports say Fabian testified that the former U.S. Army specialist’s girlfriend suffers from Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) where a child fails to form healthy emotional bonds. Nonetheless, despite the diagnosis, Fabian also testified that the former U.S. Army specialist’s girlfriend has no disorders to impair her thoughts.

Former U.S. Army Specialist Committed Suicide

According to Acevedo, in November 2022, the former U.S. Army specialist’s girlfriend pleaded guilty to three counts of making a false statement and one count of being an accessory after the fact. The girlfriend reportedly admitted to helping the former U.S. Army specialist in dismembering Guillén’s body before burying her remains along the Leon River in Texas.

Further reports say the former U.S. Army specialist’s girlfriend was the only individual charged in connection with the murder of Guillén after the former U.S. Army specialist committed suicide in the city of Killeen before the victim’s body was discovered.
