The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) announced that the U.S.-China flights are intended to be doubled in the latter part of 2023. Reports say the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden approved the increase in the number of U.S.-China flights that are currently allowed as a sign of cooperation between both of the countries.

According to Wolfsteller, on September 1, the number of U.S.-China flights will increase from 12 to 18 round trips per week. By October 29, the number of U.S.-China flights will increase from 18 to 24 round trips per week. The decision is an agreement between both of the countries where the government of China is also expected to increase the flights for American carriers.
