Canadian rapper Tory Lanez continued to insist on his innocence for shooting American rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. Reports say a jury in Los Angeles sentenced Lanez to 10 years in prison last August 8.
On August 10, in an Instagram post, Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, 31, continued to insist on his innocence for shooting American rapper Megan Thee Stallion, 28, in the feet back on July 12, 2020. Rapper Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, further stated that he will not be apologizing for the charges he is wrongly convicted of.According to Levine, on August 8, rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison after a jury in Los Angeles Superior Court found him guilty in December 2022. Rapper Tory Lanez was apparently found guilty of assaulting Megan with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging the firearm with gross negligence.

Rapper Tory Lanez Dispute with Megan Thee Stallion
According to Zhan, the dispute between rapper Tory Lanez and Megan began when the two, along with Megan’s former assistant Kelsey Harris, left the pool party at American socialite Kylie Jenner’s house in Los Angeles. Reports say that while driver Jaquan Smith drove them around, an argument between the two started and thereafter moved outside onto a sidewalk in the Hollywood Hills.
While Megan began walking away, she heard rapper Tory Lanez shout, “Dance, bitch!” as the suspect allegedly shot a 9mm pistol at her feet. Megan reportedly dropped to the ground and crawled to safety but still sustained injuries. Fortunately, Megan was later hospitalized and underwent surgery.
