Giovanny Zendejas-Castellanos was arrested after driving under the influence and crashing into a boulder in Wisconsin. Further reports say the Kansas driver also stole a firearm and fought with police officers at a local hospital.
On August 3, at around 10:24 p.m., the officers from the Janesville Police Department responded to a traffic accident at the Sidelines Sports Bar in Wisconsin. Onlookers claimed that they witnessed the driver, Giovanny Zendejas-Castellanos, 24, of Kansas, crash into a boulder in the parking lot.According to Vacchiano, when the Kansas driver showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests, he was immediately arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). In addition, when a K-9 tracked the Kansas driver’s backpack to a field, officers discovered that it contained a stolen firearm.

Kansas Driver Fought With Officers
According to Newhouse, after the Kansas driver was arrested, he allegedly fought with police officers at a local hospital in Wisconsin. Nonetheless, the Kansas driver was transported to the Rock County Jail where he is awaiting his initial appearance in court.
To date, the Kansas driver faced charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, first-offense Operating While Intoxicated (OWI), and resisting arrest. Further reports say the Janesville Police is still actively investigating the incident.
