Apart from the retirement benefits that the SSA provides, there are many other services that are being offered. In this article, read and find out about the Social Security services especially offered by the agency!
Cost Of Prescription Drugs
According to Jain, one of the Social Security services especially offered by the Social Security Administration (SSA) is health insurance known as the Medicare. The Medicare program covers the costs of medical expenses, staying at hospitals, and prescription drugs.
Reports say it is commonly known that an individual can be registered in Medicare Part A and B with Social Security services. However, not many are aware that Social Security services also include the Medicare Advantage plans which are previously known as Medicare Part C or Part D.
The Medicare Advantage plan, which is also included in Social Security services, offers coverages that are related to Part A and B. This suggests that the Medicare Advantage covers the costs of prescription drugs, as well as expenses for dental, hearing, and vision.

Domestic Violence Survivors
According to Mayer, it is also commonly known that Social Security services include spouse and survivor benefits. However, in some cases, the SSA also provides assistance to domestic violence survivors. This suggests that although the SSA does not generally assign a new Social Security number to an individual, it can make an exception for women who transfer to a new location.
