An unnamed nightclub security guard was beaten to death by a crowd outside Dragonfly Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. Reports say the circumstances that led to the assault remained unclear to date.
In the early morning of July 30, at around 2 a.m., violence broke out outside the Dragonfly Hollywood nightclub at 6510 Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles, California. Detective Samuel Marullo of the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide Division stated that a group of about 10 people confronted a nightclub security guard.According to Betz, following the confrontation, the nightclub security guard allegedly fell into the street where he was kicked, stomped, and beaten to death by a crowd of people. The nightclub security guard was then transported to a hospital but later died due to the injuries he sustained.
As of the evening of July 30, the circumstances that lead to the assault of the nightclub security guard, whether it was related to gangs or not, still remained unclear. In addition, no arrests have been made and the identity of the nightclub security guard has not been released yet.

Crimes in Other Nightclubs
An article in CNN states that in the early morning of July 2, police officers responded to a shooting incident at a nightclub in Wichita, Kansas. Upon arriving at the crime scene, the officers found two individuals who were injured after being trampled by the crowd. Furthermore, seven individuals sustained gunshot wounds after the shooting incident.
