Miguel “Mickey” Salazar shot himself and hid in the woods in Arkansas while being investigated for rape. Fortunately, reports say the rape suspect eventually surrendered himself to the police.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office obtained a warrant for rape and second-degree sexual assault for the investigation of Miguel “Mickey” Salazar, 56, when the rape suspect went missing last week. On a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office stated that the rape suspect shot himself and disappeared into a wooded area behind his residence in the city of Etna in Franklin County, Arkansas.However, according to Vacchiano, a statement released by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office announced that an investigation of the wooded area did not uncover anything on the evening of the incident.
Rape Suspect Surrendered
An article in KNWA states that on the evening of July 21, the rape suspect eventually surrendered to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. Reports say the rape suspect has never been seen or heard before he turned himself in. In addition, the authorities have not disclosed if the rape suspect indeed shot himself. Nonetheless, in a statement, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office announced their gratitude for all the help and tips in the rape suspect’s case.
