A 15-year-old teenager sustained a gunshot injury after an incident in Milledgeville, Georgia. Reports say the shooting suspect is at large and still being hunted by officers and detectives.

On July 17, at around 4:50 p.m., officers from the Milledgeville Police Department responded to reports of a shooting suspect on the 2400 block of Grandview Drive in the city of Milledgeville in Georgia. Further reports say the unnamed 15-year-old victim sustained a gunshot injury to their side.

An article in The Union-Recorder states that as of July 18, the victim is being treated and recovering from their injuries at the Atrium Health Navicent, a medical center in the city of Macon. On the other hand, the shooting suspect is at large and still being hunted by the officers and detectives of the Milledgeville Police Department.

Shooting Suspect At Large

According to an article in Yahoo, witnesses claimed that the victim was approached by the shooting suspect who was carrying a handgun. Thereafter, the shooting suspect allegedly shot the victim once at close range.

Following the incident, the shooting suspect reportedly fled the crime scene on foot. To date, authorities have not yet determined what may have motivated the shooting suspect to commit the crime. Nonetheless, authorities stated that the pursuit of the shooting suspect remains active and ongoing.
