McCandless LongHorn Steakhouse Car Crash

According to a published article, the McCandless LongHorn Steakhouse car crash happened around 1:06 p.m. on Covenant Avenue. The vehicle was initially navigating through the restaurant’s parking lot when it collided with the rear end of a pickup truck.

Instead of stopping there, the car continued its destructive path, running over the parked car and crashing into the restaurant’s landscaping.

Assistant Chief Andrew Ferrante of the Peebles District Volunteer Fire Company provided some insight into the sequence of events in LongHorn Steakhouse. He mentioned that after the initial collision, the driver, an 81-year-old woman, lost control of her vehicle and ultimately plowed into the front of the LongHorn Steakhouse.

According to Yahoo,  a female employee was in harm’s way as she was washing windows at the time. The impact caused her to become trapped underneath the vehicle, pinned down by one of its tires. Though the young woman had suffered injuries, she remained conscious and was reported to be in stable condition.

First responders were quickly dispatched to the scene. The heroic efforts of a Peebles firefighter proved crucial as they managed to use spreaders to lift the vehicle and rescue the trapped employee from under the car.
