American model Gigi Hadid was arrested after arriving in the Grand Cayman Islands last July 10. Reports say Hadid traveled with marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
On July 10, American model Gigi Hadid and her friends arrived in the Grand Cayman Islands via private jet and were processed by Customs and Border Protection. However, a small amount of marijuana, which appeared to be for personal use, and other drug paraphernalia were discovered.According to Overhultz, a representative for model Gigi Hadid clarified that the TV personality legally purchased the marijuana with a medical license in New York. The representative also argued that the marijuana has been legal for medical use in the Grand Cayman Islands since 2017.
Nonetheless, model Gigi Hadid was arrested and taken to the Prisoner Detention Center where she was eventually released on bail. Model Gigi Hadid also appeared in summary court where she pleaded guilty and was fined $1,000.
Model Gigi Hadid’s Vacation
According to O’Kane, after the news broke out, model Gigi Hadid shared several photos and videos on Instagram of her vacation in the Cayman Islands. Reports say one of Hadid’s photos revealed a dragon tattoo on her hip.
Model Gigi Hadid was known to be the ex-girlfriend of the British singer Zayn Malik who she shares a daughter with. Reportedly, the pair broke up in the late 2021 after welcoming their daughter Khai in 2020.
