Volunteer Santa in Florida Arrested on Child Pornography After Downloading Hundreds of Files

James Jude Silverstone was arrested on child pornography charges after downloading hundreds of files of the content. Reports say the volunteer Santa has worked as a town commissioner in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

In April, the Sheriff’s Office of Broward County investigated a computer that downloaded child pornography files. The office then released a statement that revealed more than 210 files contained videos and photos of child pornography.

According to Vacchiano, the office eventually identified the suspect as James Jude Silverstone, 62, who worked as a volunteer Santa and a town commissioner in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in Florida. After conducting a search warrant at the volunteer Santa’s residence last May, the authorities examined his electronic devices and reportedly discovered minors as young as infants engaging in sexual acts.

Charges Against Volunteer Santa

According to Qamar, on July 13, the volunteer Santa faced charges of ten counts of transmitting child pornography. Nonetheless, one of the volunteer Santa’s neighbors stated that they did not believe the allegations. An unnamed neighbor claims that they have known the volunteer Santa’s character for 30 years as he “volunteers to do everything for everyone”. Furthermore, the neighbor also claims that someone is only out to get the volunteer Santa and cause problems for him.
