On June 24, employees at Ra Sushi reported that Sarah Dudley, 32, was missing after she did not show up for work. However, the affidavit states that the day Sarah disappeared, her husband, Karlton, 37, claimed that Sarah walked to her work in Plano.

In addition, according to Wehner, Karlton also claimed that around the time Sarah walked to work, he went to a neighbor to check on a cat. Thereafter, Karlton decided to go to Lake Lewisville to allegedly go kayaking, but the inflatable kayak could not be filled with air. As a result, Karlton apparently decided to go for a walk around the lake.
