An article in KATC states that a press release revealed that the Louisiana police chief also stole the COVID-19 relief funds that were set aside for daily expenses by a family. As a result, the said family was not able to pay for their bills which in turn made them lose their home
Charges Faced by Louisiana Police Chief
According to Albright, a jury found the Louisiana police chief guilty of possession of controlled dangerous substances, felony theft, and malfeasance in office. Reports say the Louisiana police chief was recently reelected in the village of Grayson in Caldwell Parish, south of Monroe.
To date, it remains unclear whether the Louisiana police chief is currently serving as an officer. Nonetheless, on September 19, the Louisiana police chief is scheduled to be sentenced where he will face up to five years in prison for each count.
