Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers signed a state budget into law that will raise the fund for public schools for the next 400 years. Evers used his powerful partial veto for the state budget and established a 402-year assistance to fund for public schools in Wisconsin.

According to an article in USA Today, the new law would guarantee that the restrictions placed on districts will raise the fund for public schools by $325 per student each year until the year 2425. Reports say this increase in the fund for public schools is the largest in the history of Wisconsin.

According to Enloe, on July 5, Evers stated in a press conference held in the Wisconsin State Capitol that his decision to increase the fund for public schools for 402 years will generate a consistent annual flow of revenue for the future.

Apart from the fund for public schools, over 48 vetoes were also done to adjust the two-year state budget worth $99 billion that the Republicans approved before.
