Governor Abbott announced that the SNAP Benefits 2023 received federal approval to be replaced. The approval was done after some of the benefits were lost or destroyed due to the severe weather in Texas.
On June 26, Governor Greg Abbott announced that the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) received approval from the federal government. The federal approval was for the SNAP Benefits 2023 in the state of Texas to be replaced.An article in Focus Daily News states that recipients in several counties can apply for the replacement of the SNAP Benefits 2023 by July 14. The replacement includes benefits that have been lost or destroyed due to the severe weather in Texas last June 14 to 16.

SNAP Benefits 2023 Recipients
According to Villalovas, the SNAP Benefits 2023 recipients who can apply for the replacement are those who were affected by the severe storms and prolonged power outages. In particular, the SNAP Benefits 2023 recipients who live in the counties of Wood, Upshur, Titus, Panola, Ochiltree, Morris, Marion, Harrison, Gregg, Franklin, Cass, and Camp are those who are eligible to apply for the replacement.
Eligible SNAP Benefits 2023 recipients can then apply for the replacement by contacting 2-1-1 or downloading the Form H1855 on HHSC’s website. Filled out forms must then be mailed to HHSC and thereafter, the SNAP benefits 2023 will be placed on the recipients’ Lone Star Cards.
