A mass shooting in the city of Baltimore left two individuals killed and 28 others injured. Reports say the Baltimore shooting happened after several individuals opened fire during a prohibited neighborhood block party.

On July 2, at around 12:30 a.m., officers of the Baltimore Police Department responded to reports of a shooting incident in Brooklyn Homes, a section of south Baltimore. Upon arriving at the location of the Baltimore shooting, the officers discovered 10 victims, including an 18-year-old female who was declared dead on the scene.

According to Wehner, thereafter, 29 additional victims were transported to local and regional hospitals with various injuries. Unfortunately, authorities later announced that one of the additional victims of the Baltimore shooting, a 20-year-old man, was declared dead at the hospital.

Further reports say as of July 2, nine of the victims of the Baltimore shooting remained at the regional hospitals in various conditions. Acting Commissioner Richard Worley of Baltimore Police states that all thirty victims ranged from ages 13 to 32.

What Happened at the Baltimore Shooting

An article in ABC News states that the Baltimore shooting happened during a neighborhood block party in Brooklyn Homes. Worley revealed that several individuals opened fire during the prohibited event, though the number of shooters has not been determined yet.

Further reports say K-9 units located gun shell casings in other areas which suggests that the crime scene was more large-scale than what was initially believed. Unfortunately. as of July 2, no suspects were taken into custody yet.
