Three Dogs Rescued from House Fire in Virginia Recorded on Police Bodycam

A police body camera footage shows the rescue of three dogs from a house fire in Virginia. Reports say an officer made the rescue after noticing smoke coming from a townhouse.

On June 18, an officer who was on patrol reportedly noticed smoke coming from the top floor of a townhouse in the 4300 block of Pembrook Village Drive in Fairfax County. The officer then immediately knocked on doors and alerted neighboring residents of the house fire, where one neighbor reported that three dogs were inside the burning house.

According to Pandolfo, police body camera footage revealed the officer’s valiant rescue of the three dogs from the house fire. The officer was seen rushing into the house fire and finding the three dogs locked in their cages. The officer then released the dogs before proceeding upstairs to inspect the rest of the building from the house fire.

No Injuries from the House Fire

According to Gartner, following the rescue of the dogs from the house fire, the emergency responders from the Fire and Rescue Department of Fairfax County arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire thereafter. Fortunately, the officer and the three dogs have not been injured by the house fire. The Fairfax County Police Department commended its officer for his dedication to the safety of the community members of the county and even the pets.
