A study from the Pew Research Center revealed that people of color were more supportive of the stricter gun laws than the Whites in America. The results were based on the 5,115 individuals randomly interviewed between June 5 to June 11.
A recent study from the Pew Research Center revealed that among the people of color, Black adults showed the most support for stricter gun laws in America at 77%. The results were followed by more people of color where Asian adults were at 74% and Hispanic adults at 68%.On the other hand, an article in CNN states that in comparison to the people of color, only 51% of White adults believe that the gun laws should be stricter. The results of the recent study were based on the 5,115 individuals in the U.S. who were randomly selected to be interviewed between June 5 to June 11.

More People of Color for Stricter Gun Laws
According to Venkatraman, earlier in June marked the one year since U.S. President Joe Biden signed a bipartisan gun bill into law. Reports say the law was the first significant gun safety legislation in several years. It included a funding worth $750 million to help U.S. states implement and administer crisis intervention programs.
Furthermore, the administration of Biden also implemented twenty four executive actions in an attempt to reduce gun violence towards both people of color and Whites in America. However, without Congressional action, the White House changed its focus to the states which continues to torment the country.
