Trooper Jacques F. Rougeau Jr. was shot to death during the manhunt of Brandon Stine in Pennsylvania. Apart from Rougeau Jr., another Pennsylvania police trooper, Lt. James Wagner, also suffered from severe gunshot injury.
On June 17, Brandon Stine, 38, used a long rifle to shoot at police cars in the barracks in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. After fleeing the crime scene in a pickup truck, an extensive manhunt for Stine began which included helicopter reinforcement.According to an article in 6ABC, in the afternoon of the same day, Pennsylvania police trooper Lt. James Wagner located Stine. Unfortunately, after exchanging fire with the suspect, Wagner was shot and suffered from severe gunshot injury.
Wagner was immediately transferred to Lewistown Hospital but was eventually flown to the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Reportedly, as of June 18, the Pennsylvania police trooper is still in critical condition.

Pennsylvania Police Trooper Shot Dead
An article in CNN states that Jacques F. Rougeau Jr., 29, another Pennsylvania police trooper, also came across Stine in an ambush. Unfortunately, the suspect’s gunshot went through the windshield of Rougeau Jr.’s vehicle and killed him.
Thereafter, the suspect escaped once again and took off into a rural residential area in Walker Township. When the authorities confronted him in a parking lot of a store, Stine began a shootout once again. In the end, the suspect got trapped among the trees of a nearby property and was shot dead by the authorities.
