A boy was in critical condition Sunday night after being shot on Saturday night in connection with a gun battle between two groups of juveniles, according to Santa Rosa Police.
Santa Rosa Police Officers Found A 15-Year-Old Boy Victim
Saturday, Santa Rosa Police received several calls around 8:04 p.m. regarding gunshots and a person lying in the roadway in the 2000 block of Blacksmith Way.
CBS News reported that the Santa Rosa Police officers found a 15-year-old boy in the street without a pulse. They started CPR until paramedics came, who were able to revive the boy and bring him to a local hospital.
Police said the suspects fled before they arrived. Officers found a handgun under the victim, several shell casings, and other evidence.
A Gun Battle Between 2 Groups Of Juveniles Leaves Boy In Critical Condition
Santa Rosa Police said that on Sunday two groups of males in their teens and early 20s got into an argument on Blacksmith Way, near Arrowhead Drive. At least one member of each group pulled a gun and started shooting.
Police said they don’t believe the incident was gang-related and are still attempting to resolve whether the shooting was related to a homicide last week.
The victim was in critical condition with life-threatening injuries Sunday night, police said.

A $2,500 reward is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund for information leading to the arrest of the suspects involved in the shooting.
