An unnamed woman was accused of stealing a U.S. Coast Guard tricycle and driving it onto the taxiway of an airport in Florida. Initially, the woman attempted to break into an aircraft and board a flight bound for Argentina.

An unnamed woman was accused of initially trying to gain access to one of the aircraft of the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater. Thereafter, the woman allegedly climbed the fence and stole a Coast Guard tricycle, driving it onto the Terminal A of St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport in Florida.

According to Lee, the woman was eventually noticed by the employees operating surveillance footage. The woman then ditched the Coast Guard tricycle and attempted to board the Allegiant Airline flight bound for Argentina. Fortunately, the airline employees were able to confront her.

Coast Guard Tricycle Thief Arrested

According to Fox, the Coast Guard tricycle thief was finally arrested by the Sheriff’s Office of Pinellas County last week. Furthermore, the suspect is now facing felony charges of trespassing onto an operational area of an airport and grand theft.

Reportedly, a spokesperson of the airport states that St. Pete-Clearwater is maintaining the safety standards and all infiltration incidents that happen undergo an investigation to be conducted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
