The state of New Mexico will be distributing Stimulus Check 2023 to eligible taxpayers on June 20. All residents who have filed their 2021 tax returns are qualified for the payments. Those who have opted for a direct deposit will have their funds immediately distributed on the same day.

However, according to Knox, taxpayers who have opted for paper checks in receiving their Stimulus Check 2023 will have to wait for the checks to be printed between June 20 and 29. Nonetheless, individual tax filers will receive $500, while joint filers will receive $1,000.

Deadline for Stimulus Check 2023

According to Washington, taxpayers who have not yet filed their 2021 tax returns can still file until May 31 next year. Furthermore, taxpayers who have transferred to a different address after filing their taxes can update their information.

Reportedly, changes may be done by submitting a form to the Taxation and Revenue Department of New Mexico or using the Taxpayer Access Point self-service portal on the department’s website. In addition, taxpayers who have changed their banking information after filing taxes will receive their Stimulus Check 2023 in the mail.
