Maryland  Man Fatally Shooting That Killed Three Men After Parking Dispute

According to police, a Maryland man has been accused in a shooting that left three men dead including a father and son. Moreover, there are three victims who are injured also during a dispute in parking.

A Shooting Occured In A Parking Lot During A Party

Annapolis Police Chief Edward Jackson during the media briefing announced that the Maryland man suspect of the shooting was identified as 43 years old Charles Robert Smith.

An Ap News reporetd that Smith was facing charges with assault, three counts of attempted murder, three counts of second-degree murder, and other crimes in the shooting that occurred Sunday night.

During the incident on Sunday night, Smith surrendered to authorities without incident, the police chief said, and on Monday Smith was ordered held without bond.

At the scene, police had recovered Smith’s semi-automatic handgun and a long gun.

Nicholas Mireles, 55 years old from Odenton, Maryland, Mario Antonio Mireles Ruiz 27 years old from Annapolis, and Christian Marlon Segovia 25 years old from Annapolis are victims that died during the shooting incident.

The Incident Of The Crime

On Sunday approximately around 7:50 pm police responded to a call for help at a residence about a shooting. Upon the arrival of the police at the scene they discovered six people had been shot. Their people were dead at the event while the other three were wounded in stable condition and expected to survive, Jackson said.

The dispute began after Smith’s mother, Shirley Smith, called a local parking enforcement employee to complain that a vehicle was blocking their driveway, according to charging documents obtained by news outlets.

After the reports Mireles Ruiz went dictly at Smith’s house to talk about the issue but Smith’s mother and Ruiz lead to an argument. The charging documents climed that when Smith came home, he confronted Mireles Ruiz in which it lead to an argument as well and tunred into physical, Smith allegedly pulled out his gun and shot both 27-year-old Mireles Ruiz and 25 years old Segovia .

Other people at the party responded while witnessing Mireles was laying on the ground, Smith proceeded inside to his house and began shooting with a long gun out the front window of his house, killing Nicholas Mireles, Mario Mireles Ruiz’s father. That is also when he shot the other three people, according to charging documents.

According to the charging documents Smith has informed police that he started shooting because somebody was shooting at his house. However, witnesses claimed to authorities they did not see any of the victims with firearms.

Authorities were not ruling out the possibility of investigating the shooting as a hate crime and the FBI together with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are helping the investigation, Jackson said.
