Ismael Rodriguez-Rosado pleaded guilty to the fatal shooting of German Ariel Montes De Oca Ramirez in New York in 2021. Reports say the murder suspect had an argument with the victim prior to the incident that was captured on a video.
Reports say on August 2, 2021, at around 1 a.m., Ismael Rodriguez-Rosado, then 27, got into an argument with German Ariel Montes De Oca Ramirez, then 31. The altercation happened outside of Mi Nueva Encanto Restaurant and Bar in Central Islip on Long Island, New York.According to Wehner, following the argument, Rodriguez-Rosado allegedly shot Montes De Oca Ramirez four times with a 9 mm pistol. A witness who called 911 reported that a red Ford Edge SUV was seen fleeing the crime scene, moving south on Carleton Avenue.
Undercover officers reportedly spotted Rodriguez-Rosado in a gas station and attempted to block him. However, the shooting suspect struck the officers’ vehicle and escaped once again. Thereafter, he led the officers down Commack Road where he erratically drove toward other vehicles.
Eventually, an officer was able to bump into the rear wheel of Rodriguez-Rosado’s vehicle which made it spin and come to a halt. The shooting suspect was then immediately placed under arrest. About a mile from where he was arrested, the investigators recovered the murder weapon with the assistance of the Suffolk County Police K-9 unit. In addition, the investigators also obtained surveillance video that captured the shooting incident.

Charges Faced by Shooting Suspect
According to Mullarkey, District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney of Suffolk County announced that Rodriguez-Rosado pleaded guilty to the murder and firearm charges he faced. On June 5, the shooting suspect appeared before Court Judge Stephen Braslow of Suffolk County and pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree murder.
