Authorities discovered a murder suicide incident after hearing a baby cry inside a home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Reports say the female victim was killed by a man who then took his own life.
On May 27, the officers from Port St. Lucie Police responded to a welfare check of a man as requested by a family member. Upon arriving at the location, the door to the house was locked, but the officers reportedly heard a young infant crying inside.According to Hanlon, through the sliding door, the officers saw two dead bodies on the floor. Upon inspection, the officers believe that the female victim was killed by the male who then took his own life. Thereafter, the officers removed the crying infant from its crib. Fortunately, the infant was unharmed and is with a family member to date.

Victims of Murder Suicide
According to Lopez, the authorities did not initially reveal the identity of the deceased. However, television station CBS12 and Treasure Coast Newspapers reported that the principal at Anderson Middle School, Darcia Borel, sent a memorandum to the staff that the female victim was middle school teacher Amanda Hicks, 26. On the other hand, the identity of the man had not been released to the public yet. Furthermore, the authorities have not specified how both victims have died as well.
