$9.5 million will be provided for the settlement of the Molson Coors lawsuit over misleading drink labels. Reports say the company did not admit any wrongdoing but agreed to pay for the settlement.
Molson Coors Beverage Co., the creator of popular alcoholic drinks such as Blue Moon and Miller Light, got hit with a legal challenge from customers who purchased their Vizzy Hard Seltzer drinks. This is because the company claimed that their Vizzy products were fortified with vitamin C from a superfruit. However, according to Shimkus, the lawsuit alleged that the Vizzy products did not contain enough vitamin C to guarantee the branding. Due to this, the former customers of Molson Coors called the mislabeling of products misleading and dangerous. Nonetheless, the company did not admit to any wrongdoing in the lawsuit. Reportedly, they only agreed to pay $9.5 million to settle the accusations.
