New Mexico

In April, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced that New Mexico will distribute Stimulus Check 2023 to its residents. However, to qualify for the payments, an individual must have filed a 2021 personal income tax return in June. According to Notheis, individual tax filers will receive a Stimulus Check 2023 worth $500, while joint filers, heads of household, and surviving spouses will receive $1,000.

California

On May 15, thirty residents of Palm Springs, California began receiving Stimulus Check 2023 worth $800. Furthermore, the residents selected to receive monthly payments from the city’s program are also required to participate in a study.

Reports say the study will be conducted by Queer Works, a non-profit organization, and will involve surveys that will have to be taken every month. The data from the program will be collected every six months and a final report is expected to be released in the winter of 2024.

Minnesota

According to Blake, the Guaranteed Basic Income Pilot of Minnesota had started in June 2022 and is expected to distribute monthly payments until June 2024. Reportedly, 200 households were selected to receive Stimulus Check 2023 worth $500 from the program. Furthermore, the project manager of the program states that the monthly payments are distributed on the 20th of every month.
