On Monday morning, a driver declared that he had an explosive device in his truck and drove past state police near the U.S.–Canada border, CBS News reported.

The driver who declared he possessed an explosive device in his truck, drove past the U.S.-Canada border. Officials said that they opened fire on the vehicle.
According to Maine State Police, Tony Holford, 42, from Providence, Rhode Island was identified as the suspect.
Tony Holford displayed a sign indicating that he had an explosive device in his truck. Holford drove his truck toward the Canadian Port of Entry, after failing to stop for a state trooper in Houlton, Maine.
A corporal has opened fire on the truck. Holford wasn’t injured and later on, surrendered to troopers. He was taken to the Aroostook County Jail and was charged with aggravated reckless conduct, failure to stop, and terrorizing, police confirmed.

Border Crossing Closed Due To Explosive Device
Due to a police operation, the Canada Border Services Agency announces on Twitter that Highway 95 in Belleville, Houlton-Woodstock border was closed. Later that evening, the agency confirmed that the operations had resumed.
Maine’s Attorney General and Maine State Police are now investigating the incident. Officials announced that there is no threat to the public as the suspect is now in custody.
