 A lawsuit of heartbreaking details surrounding an Arby’s manager who was allegedly found frozen to death in the restaurant’s walk-in freezer with a faulty door, her hands bloodied from frantic attempts to escape.

Lawsuit Filed After Arby’s Manager Found Trapped And Died Inside Walk-In Freezer

The family of the Arby’s manager had filed a $1 million lawsuit against the Louisiana fast food company and the franchise owner.

Arby’s manager identified as Nguyet Le 63 years old widow and mother-of-four was found dead on May 11 after she got trapped and frozen to death, inside of a walk-in freezer that had a broken latch while opening the restaurant based in New Iberia, Louisiana.

LAW & CRIME News reported that Le is originally from Houston, Texas, and worked at another Arby’s Restaurant there as well. However, according to the lawsuit, she was only supposed to be at the Louisiana location for a four-week assignment.

The Arby Manager’s Son Was The One Who Discovered His Mothers Remains In The Restaurants Walk-in Freezer

Arby’s manager son Nguyen was also an employee of the restaurant with his mother, is the person who discovered her body when he arrived at the location later in the morning. He along with other employees called the police around 6:19 p.m.

According to Mail Online when investigative officers arrived at the scene, they found blood on the inside of the freezer door, suggesting that Le “beat her hands bloody trying to escape or get someone’s attention. Ultimately, she collapsed into a fetal position face down on the frozen floor.”

A preliminary autopsy revealed that Le died of hypothermia. Meanwhile, it was also noted in the lawsuit that the company policy mandated employees to “keep the freezer at negative 10 degrees or colder.”

The lawsuit indicated that the latch on the walk-in freezer that trapped Le is said to be the cause of her entrapment. It is claimed that the piece had been broken since August 2022.
