Danny Masterson Rape Trial
Friday, the Los Angeles County jury of seven women and five men reached home without getting any verdict on of the three counts of rape accused against Danny Masterson 47-year-old, who could get up to 45 years in prison if sentenced to all three.
On May 17 jury got the case as closing arguments with planned time off, they have been talking for a total of six and a half days, which only holds relatively few questions for the judge.
Jurors have requested the reading back of some testimony including some parts of the cross-examination of Masterson’s ex-girlfriend, who is one of the three victims that accuses him of rape. However, the requests have cleared small light on the state of deliberations.
The Danny Masterson Rape Trial Will Resume On Wednesday
On Wednesday morning, the Jurors will return to court after taking the weekend, Memorial Day, and another planned day off, according to AP News.
Danny Masterson’s first rape trial had lengthy deliberations that leads to a mistrial in December when jurors couldn’t come to a consensus on any counts. A majority voted to pardon him on each and another retrial began in April.
Prosecutors claimed that between n 2001 and 2003 at Danny Masterson’s house in the Hollywood area, he overdosed on drugs with his 3 victims and was raped including his former longtime girlfriend. The rape incident occurred at the time when he was at the peak of his fame for the Fox TV sitcom “That ’70s Show.”
Masterson has pleaded not guilty to any of the accusations and Masterson had consensual sex with the women and tried to discredit their stories by pointing to inconsistencies, according to the defense attorney.
