2 Killed Victims in Rhode Island Shooting Identified by Police Authorities

The Rhode Island State Police recently released the identity of the two killed victims in a shooting incident in Johnston. Authorities added that the Rhode Island shooting started as a neighborhood and domestic dispute.

On May 25, the authorities from Rhode Island State Police released the identity of the two victims who were killed in a shooting incident in the town of Johnston. Reports say the remains of Janet Harrison, 83, were found in her house on the morning of May 24.

An article in Fox News states that apart from Janet, the body of her neighbor Thomas May, 44, was found in his garage. Reportedly, May’s 15-year-old daughter was also shot. Fortunately, she is expected to survive her injuries from the Rhode Island shooting.

Rhode Island Shooting Suspect

According to Thornton, the suspect in the Rhode Island shooting was eventually identified as James Harrison, 52. Reportedly, James was the son of Janet, one of the killed victims. Authorities state that the incident started as a neighborhood and domestic dispute.

After fleeing the scene of the crime, James was located by the authorities in Cranston, a neighboring city in the state. Upon seeing James go out of his vehicle with a firearm, the authorities allegedly shot him to death. Reports say no police officers were injured in the confrontation. However, due to standard protocol, the Rhode Island Attorney General’s office is investigating the use of deadly force by the law enforcement.
