On Monday,  the founder of a student loan assistance Charlie Javice startup Frank Company lured J.P. Morgan Chase to sell an app worth $175 million from her company two years ago was charged over brazen fraud and took a step towards a trial, and pleaded a not-guilty plea for the indictment.

Charlie Javice, 31-year-old a resident of Miami Beach, Florida, pleaded not guilty through her attorney to an indictment thrown to her late last week in Manhattan federal court for her conspiracy, wire fraud, and bank fraud towards J.P. Morgan Chase.

Javice the founder of Frank occurred at a remote proceeding in which she made an appearance at a remote hearing where she face the prosecutors and defense’s witnesses were projected onto a video screen before U.S. Magistrate Judge Gabriel Gorenstein. He said her next appearance of the court was scheduled for June 6 before a judge who would supervise a trial.

Moreover, the National Business News reported that  Charlie Javice was released on a $2 million bail and is charged with defrauding JPMC into investing in her company by delivering fake data to make it seem like Frank had approximately  4.25 million clients when it has only fewer than 300,000 clients.

In April, Javice was arrested and claimed that she would have earned $45 million from her fraud, according to authorities.

The indictment against Javice in May was postponed as prosecutors filed a letter to say that the government desired to have an extended 30 days to “engage in further discussions with counsel about the nature of her case.”

Prosecutors Have Not Turned Over Any Evidence With Charlie Javice Indictment Case

The indictment of  Charlie Javice is on the road to trial but Javice’s lawyer Alex Spiro have e reflected on the acrimonious atmosphere reflected by the breakdown of talks and the arrival of the indictment late last week when he whined that prosecutors have not turned over any proof in the case.

Spiro said, “We’ve gotten nothing.”

ABC News featured an article claiming that Dina McLeod Assistant U.S. Attorney announced that the indictment was still fresh and that Charlie Javice’s case is complex, adding that the large number of documents that will be turned over to the defense before trial needs to be examined by prosecutors first.

The indictment largely reflected a criminal complaint released when Javice was arrested. It charged her with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud along with different wire fraud, bank fraud, and securities fraud counts.
