According to Stimson, Mendoza’s cousin, Geovanni Molina, revealed that her cousin was a mother of two children. Mendoza’s children were apparently a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old. To date, authorities state that Mendoza’s death is under investigation as domestic violence.

Charges Faced by Murder Suspect
An article in CBS News states that according to an update released by the Prosecutor’s Office of Hudson County on May 19, Gregory Mallard, 35, faced charges. These charges include possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, first-degree murder, and several others.
Reports say the murder suspect already had a history of violent crimes in the past. In addition, the murder suspect had previously served 10 years in prison for aggravated manslaughter. To date, however, Mendoza’s cause of death has not been revealed yet.
