Alberto L. Sierra Jr. pleaded not guilty to the charges he was arraigned on for the death of a 5-year-old boy in 2013. Reports say at the time the boy went missing, Sierra Jr. was in a relationship with his mother, Elsa Oliver.

According to Williams, it was only then that family members realized it was in September when they have last seen Jeremiah. By April 2014, investigators unfortunately found Jeremiah’s remains in Interstate 190 in Sterling, around 50 miles west of Boston. Reports say the child was wrapped in a blanket and stuffed inside a bag.

Charges Faced by the Murder Suspect
An article in ABC News states that the chief medical examiner’s office in Boston had ruled Jeremiah’s death as homicide. According to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, on May 18, Sierra Jr. was indicted by a grand jury on charges of disinterring of a body and murder.
In addition, on May 18, the murder suspect was reportedly arraigned on new charges. However, Sierra Jr. apparently pleaded not guilty on both charges and is held with no bail. Nonetheless, Assistant Clerk Magistrate Matthew Lefebvre of Worcester Superior Court states that on May 25, the murder suspect is scheduled to return to court.
