The U.S. federal government may not have taken action to provide Americans with inflation relief checks, but fortunately, some of the U.S. states have. Reportedly, 19 of the U.S. states have offered to provide inflation relief checks to their residents to cope with the worsening inflation.According to Rosenberg, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the budget of several states are running at a surplus. These budget surplus are relatively due to the funds that have been distributed by the federal government. This means that most states have more income than expenses so they have decided to reimburse the surplus to their residents in the form of inflation relief checks.
This is because inflation relief checks are needed due to the record-high inflation experienced since 2022. In June last year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was at its peak at 9.1% and remained above 6% for the rest of 2022.

19 U.S. States Receiving Inflation Relief Checks
Unfortunately, an article in Forbes states that only 19 of the U.S. states have decided to provide inflation relief checks to their residents. Furthermore, even if one resides in a state that offers an inflation relief, there is still no guarantee that they will be receiving one.
This is because to be able to receive the checks, an individual must still meet certain eligibility requirements. Nonetheless, the following are the 19 U.S. states that offer inflation relief checks:
