Reports say on January 28, Nenah Davis, 29; Iyana Hutton, 33; and Destiny Sims, 26, were the victims of the triple murder in the Beverly Crest neighborhood near Beverly Hills, California. The three women were apparently returning from bowling after renting a house in Beverly Crest to visit the city in support of a Chicago rapper.

An article in CNN states that an attack that seemed like an ambush where more than 30 rounds of gunshots were fired toward the victims’ vehicle. Apart from the triple murder, four individuals also suffered from gunshot injuries, while two others were, fortunately, not harmed. Captain Jonathan Tippet of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), however, stated at a news conference that the victims of the triple murder were not actually the intended targets of the ambush.

Suspects of the Triple Murder

According to Lloyd, a cross-country investigation led the police to three suspects who were identified as Daries Stanford, 28; Dejean Thompkins, 28; and Dontae Williams, 22. Reports say Stanford was arrested in New York, Thompkins in Chicago, and Williams in Gary, Indiana. Nonetheless, all suspects of the triple murder are connected to a gang in Chicago and live closed to the Beverly Crest neighborhood.

In addition, all suspects of the triple murder are each faced with six counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and attempted murder and three counts of murder. Thompkins, however, faced an additional count of murder in connection with the December killing in North Hollywood.

Reports say the Robbery-Homicide Division of LAPD found a connection between the December killing and January triple murder during their investigation. Tippet states that in both incidents, the suspects murdered their oblivious victims through an ambush. On May 12, the authorities announced that all suspects are waiting for extradition to California from the three states where they were arrested.
