An unidentified shooting suspect gunned an individual to death and injured another five during a large house party in Chico, California. Reports say the incident appears to be isolated because there is no ongoing threat to the community.

On May 6, at around 3:26 a.m., the patrol officers from Chico Police Department were reportedly dispatched to the location of an ongoing house party because of a shooting suspect. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers discovered that six individuals between the ages of 17 and 21 had been shot.

An article in CNN states that among the six victims of the shooting suspect, one had died and five have been injured. The victims included an unnamed 17-year-old girl who died. In addition, an unnamed 21-year-old and 19-year-old man have been admitted into a hospital in the area and are in stable condition. An unnamed 20-year-old and 18-year-old man have also been discharged from a hospital after suffering non-life threatening injuries. Lastly, another unnamed 17-year-old girl had also been admitted into a hospital in the area and are in stable condition.

Shooting Suspect Still Unidentified

According to Deliso, to date, the authorities would not be revealing any names yet. This is because the investigations conducted by the Chico Police Detective Bureau are still actively underway. However, the police states that the incident appears to be isolated because the shooting suspect does not seem to be an ongoing threat to the community of Chico.
