Ex-Boston Dean Gets Additional 18 Years For Gang-Related Charges

A former Boston high school dean received an additional 18 years on a federal gang-related charge after he was convicted of gunning his student after he was recruited to deal drugs.

AP News stated in their reports that Shaun Harrison 63 years old claimed to himself that he is an anti-violence activist and mentor for teens who are troubled while he just pretends to be one and hiding his gang ties while luring students for drug sales.

Moreover, Harrison pleaded guilty to his criminal activities also referred to as a RICO conspiracy in 2020.

Furthermore, Harrison was first convicted in 2020 for attempting to murder his student who was selling marijuana in the high school where he shot at the back of his head after the 17-year-old and Harrison had a dispute over declining to sell drugs according to prosecutors.

The student survived but suffered half-face paralysis, loss of hearing, and as well as injuries that he endured.

Harrison Is Still Connected With Latin Kings Gang

An unexpected level of betrayal and dishonesty is what Massachusetts U.S. Attorney Rachael Rollins described as the Boston Dean’s criminal activities. Rollins also claimed that Harrison did not cut ties to the Latin Kings gang while he is in the state prison he continue to be part of that gang.

Harrison pleaded guilty together with other defendants who are members of the Latin Kings gang shown in an investigation dubbed Operation Throne Down, according to Federal prosecutors.

Last year, a federal judge ordered Harrison to settle up to  $10 million in damages to the former student he was convicted of trying to kill. However, it’s unclear if the victim can still benefit from any money from Harrison.
