A recent NYC subway news reveals that on May 1, a homeless Black man, Jordan Neely, 30, yelled at the other passengers onboard the F train, demanding that he was thirsty, hungry, and tired. A witness, Juan Alberto Vazquez, quoted Neely saying that he was ready to go to jail, get a life sentence, and die.

An article in CNN states that because of this, several other passengers became uncomfortable and transferred to other parts of the train. Eventually, another passenger approached Neely from the back and put him in a chokehold. In addition, two other passengers also approached Neely, with one attempting to mediate, while the other helped in restraining Neely.
