An article on the CNN states that on March 31, at around 8 a.m., authorities discovered the remains of the second victim, a 17-year-old male. The third victim’s remains were later discovered on April 1. Upon the request of their families, the names of both victims are being withheld. Furthermore, Woods refuses to state in the homicide investigation whether the three teenagers were shot at the same time using the same weapon.
Homicide Investigation Still Ongoing
According to an article on ABC7 Chicago, on April 4, Woods has requested the help of the public for more information for the homicide investigation. To date, there are still no arrests made for the triple homicide. There is no information about any additional victims as well.
Reports say there are leads to the homicide investigation that indicate that the triple deaths could be a part of a gang activity. However, Woods urges the public to avoid rumors on social media, especially those that suggest that the killings were executed by a serial killer. Nonetheless, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, along with Lieutenant Paul Bloom, stated that an arrest is coming even without a certain timeline.
