Alan W. Colie was arrested after shooting an individual at Dulles Town Center Mall in Sterling, Virginia. The shooting suspect is believed to have gunned down the victim after a dispute between the two.

On April 2, at around 11:57 a.m., the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) received a report about a shooting incident at the Dulles Town Center Mall in Sterling, Virginia. The deputies immediately responded to the call and arrived on the scene after three minutes. At around 12:02 p.m., the deputies have already taken the shooting suspect into custody.

An article on the Fox News states that the LCSO has arrested Alan W. Colie, 31, from Leesburg, Virginia, in connection with the shooting incident at the food court of the Virginia shopping mall. The shooting suspect was believed to have gunned down one victim after the dispute between the two.

Charges Faced by the Shooting Suspect

According to an article on the Londoun County Sheriff’s Office website, the male victim was discovered outside the mall with a gunshot injury to his abdomen. Thereafter, the victim was treated by the deputies and members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System (LC-CFRS) and was transferred to a local hospital for further treatment.

The LCSO deputies also inspected the entire mall to guarantee that no other suspects or victims were around. Consequently, the management of the Dulles Town Center shut the mall down for the remainder of the day. The shooting suspect faced charges of the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm within a building, and aggravated malicious wounding.
