Complying with the schedule of payments, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will be distributing another round of Social Security checks in 2023 this April. The days when the SSA distributes the payments will be on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

According to Quirós Villalba, for April 12, the second Wednesday of the month, beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th of the month will receive the Social Security checks in 2023. For April 18, the third Wednesday, beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th of the month will receive the payments. Lastly, for April 26, the third Wednesday of the month, beneficiaries born between the 21st and 31st of the month will receive the payments.

The same schedule will be experienced for all the remaining months of the year. However, the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will not be distributed this month because it has already been issued last March 31. In general, SSI payments should be distributed on the first day of the month unless the date falls on a holiday or a weekend. When this happens, the schedule of payment is moved to the nearest business day of the previous month.

Who is qualified for the Social Security checks in 2023?

An article on CNET states that the SSA distributes the Social Security checks in 2023 to all retirees regardless of the kind of benefit they receive. This means that an age beneficiary will receive the payments on the same day as the disability beneficiary. Nonetheless, this schedule is the day the payment is distributed. The day the beneficiary may collect the payments still depends on the method of payment they have selected.
