The Social Security Administration will soon complete its check payment schedule for March 2023. The last Social Security check payment will be sent to retirees in Group 3, who were born between March 21st and March 31st, on their birthday. After that, beneficiaries will have to wait until April for their next payment. Social Security payments are split into three and paid on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesdays of the month.
Those who were not born between March 21st and 31st should have received their payments earlier in the month, with March 8th, 15th, and 22nd being the payment dates. The amount of a retiree’s Social Security check depends on their earning history, and the maximum amount is $4,558 per month, with the average being $1,668.
For those with a smaller benefit, they can apply for Supplemental Security Income, which can provide an additional $914 per month. Retirees who want to increase their monthly Social Security check should work towards earning a high salary, working as many years as possible, and delaying their retirement age. However, it’s important to note that once a pensioner’s benefit has been accepted, they won’t be able to increase the amount unless they meet specific exceptions. It’s important for beneficiaries to keep track of their Social Security payment schedule and consider having multiple sources of income (Villalba, 2023).
